Service Description

Join me as we use traditional yoga practices to deeply nurture and restore energy in the body on all levels. These gentle classes will include yin, restorative and hatha yoga, breathwork, meditation and yoga nidra. They will also include yoga philosophy and other prompts to help transition us from everyday life into our practice. The class will be done mostly on the floor and there will be time to move from one posture to the next. This isn't a class when you'll be standing and flowing from one shape to the next. This class is suitable for beginners. And yes, it is suitable if you're stressed, exhausted, inflexible, carrying weight and all the other things we can think makes us not 'right' for yoga. I also welcome you if you are neuro-diverse or living beyond trauma. My teaching style is pro-woman, trauma-informed, menopause aware and based on the belief that at this current time, our nervous systems need calming. Wear comfortable clothes, have socks, a jumper and a blanket to place over you. For props, you will need: Bolster - or two towels rolled along the short side into a sausage shape Block - or a thick book or two, DVD boxed set, Jenga block box, etc Strap - or dressing gown cord Eye pillow - or something to cover your eyes. Something with some weight is nice. Choose a space that can be your yoga space each week, and over time a beautiful energy will infuse into the space.
